Durango® Boot, a division of Rocky Brands, Inc., continues its support of breast cancer research with a $2,528 donation to the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James). To date, Durango® has donated $266,058 to breast cancer research, with more than $80,000 allocated to the Spielman Fund.

“Each year, portions of sales generated from Durango®‘s pink ribbon boot are donated to organizations supporting breast cancer research,” said Erin DeLong, Durango® marketing manager. “The Stefanie Spielman Fund supports cutting-edge research projects aimed toward finding a cure, and we are proud to continue supporting these efforts this year.”

The brand donates a portion of each Durango® Benefiting Stefanie Spielman Women’s Western Boot sold to organizations supporting the fight against breast cancer. This donation will support ongoing clinical trials, research and new technologies at the OSUCCC.

The Durango® Benefiting Stefanie Spielman Women’s Western Boot features a translucent rubber outsole with a pink ribbon graphic, a symbol for breast cancer awareness and support for those who have been affected by the disease. The boots retail for $166.

About the Stefanie Spielman Fund

In 1998, Stefanie Spielman was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 30 and lost her battle with the disease in 2009. Stefanie and her husband Chris Spielman, an All-Star linebacker from Massillon, Ohio and 11-year NFL player, became advocates for the fight against breast cancer, founding the Stefanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research in 1998. The fund has raised more than $25 million to support research at the OSUCCC – James.
