LEARN MORE →The Dude Ranchers' Association
Durango® is proud to be the
Official Boot of The Dude Ranchers’
Association (DRA). The DRA has a very rich and powerful history. As the railroads
expanded in the 1920s, dude
ranches spread across the west and as far south as Arizona. The cattle industry was
struggling, and many ranchers
were faced with financial hardship. Ernest Miller of Elkhorn Ranch in Montana
convinced Max Goodsill of the Northern
Pacific Railway that there was an opportunity for a mutually beneficial
relationship. The gentlemen arranged a
meeting at the Bozeman Hotel - this became the first official meeting of the Dude
Ranchers’ Association on September
27th and 28th, 1926. Thus, the leading and governing body of the West’s dude ranch
industry was formed.
Almost 100 years later, the DRA is still the governing body of the West’s dude
ranch industry. The DRA continues to help people find quality dude and guest ranch
vacations. When you book your family vacation at a member ranch, you can be assured
of a genuine, western experience. The members are not hotels with horses out back;
they are the Original Western Vacation.

David Adam Byrnes
Durango® is excited to announce,
David Adam Byrnes, as one of their country music brand ambassadors! Country music
has been all that David Adam Byrnes has ever known. One of his earliest memories is
attending a George Strait concert and really hearing a George Strait song for the
first time. From that day forward, he would always take his cowboy hat to school;
earning him the nickname of “George Strait” amongst his peers. After
spending high school graduation night opening up for the legendary Hank Williams,
Jr., Byrnes packed his bags and headed to Nashville, Tennessee.
After many nights in Broadway Honky Tonks, Byrnes signed a publishing/artist
development deal and found himself writing with songwriters such as: Josh Thompson,
Chris Young and Billy Montana. After building enough material Byrnes’ released
his first full length album “Premium Country”. The debut single from the
record “Sweet Distraction” reached Top 20 on The Music Row Country
Breakout Chart and Top 65 on Billboard Country Airplay.
Byrnes’ sent his first Single to Texas Radio to complement
his heavy touring in the region. The song “Beer Bucket List” produced by
Trent Willmon went all the way to #1 on Texas Radio; earning him Nominations for
“New Male Vocalist of the Year” at both The Texas Country Awards and
Texas Regional Radio Awards. David now has 4 consecutive #1 songs under his belt
and was named an “Artist To Watch” by Wide Open Country.
Matt Rogers
Durango® is excited to announce,
Matt Rogers, as one of their country music brand ambassadors. Matt has reached a
growing, global audience enamored with his raw, country-at-heart/blues-in-his-soul
style of music thanks to weekly performances since 2018 at Ole Red in Nashville and
an extensive, 200-date tour schedule across the U.S. sharing the stage with country
luminaries such as Chris Stapleton, LoCash, Brothers Osborne, Chris Janson,
Clint Black, Clay Walker, Jake Owen, Cole Swindell, and more. The humorous and
humble Georgia native has created a deep bond with his listeners through his
emotionally gripping lyrics and unmistakable melodies.
Known for his energetic stage show, Matt is equally at home in the writers’
room penning songs with some of the best tunesmiths in Music City and winning
numerous awards including recognition from Nashville Songwriters Association (NSAI),
CMT, American Songwriter, and the Georgia Country Awards, which named him their
Overall Artist of the Year. And now, Rogers’ self-penned new music is poised
to reach an even bigger audience since signing with Nashville-based Vere
Music, with national distribution partner ADA. Fans and the music industry are
taking notice including country music legend TG Sheppard, who opined that Rogers is
“the real deal…the total package. A great singer, a great picker, and a
great songwriter.”
