ABOUT JOSIE
Born and raised in Louisiana, Breakaway Roper Josie Conner grew up with the sport. Her dad was a
professional calf roper, and she grew up on a farm, always on a horse. Josie started off with all the
events and progressed into being a breakaway roper before there was an NFR. Shares Josie, “I have
literally grown up with the sport. I was too young to compete at the first NFR, so it was really cool
that I got to progress as the sport grew.” Now that she is 18, she is on the professional rodeo circuit
and is thankful for the industry and people who have had such an impact on her life and her
passions.
