DURANGO® BOOTS RETURNS AS OFFICIAL BOOT OF WRANGLER NATIONAL FINALS RODEO
Durango® Boots will return as the official boot of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys
Association® (PRCA) Wrangler National Finals Rodeo®
(Wrangler NFR), the richest and most prestigious rodeo in the world. As the Wrangler NFR official boot sponsor,
Durango® will be onsite to present custom-designed champion boots to each PRCA 2022 world champion and will host a variety of spectator
activities including Team Durango® athlete autograph sessions, giveaways, free-boot promotions, and
retail activations throughout the ten-day competition.
“Durango® Boots is honored to serve as the official boot of the Wrangler NFR,” said Mike Fuller, Durango® Vice President/General Manager.
“We are proud to support this prestigious event showcasing the most elite rodeo athletes in the world and are excited to present the
best-of-the-best in each discipline with custom designed PRCA world champion boots to commemorate their wins.”
Durango®’s world champion boots will be gifted to all 10 world champions. The hand-crafted genuine full quill ostrich boots feature an
embroidered NFR logo on the front of the goat leather shaft, leather lining, genuine leather stacked heel, nailed leather outsole and the
wording “2022 Champion” embossed on the bottom of the genuine leather outsole.

The 2022 Wrangler NFR will take place December 1-10 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Durango® boots will be sold at Stetson Country
Christmas at the Rio (booth #325 and #425) and in Boot Barn’s booth at Cowboy Channel Cowboy Christmas in the Las Vegas Convention Center
(#2101). Durango® will also be giving away free pairs of boots in their Stetson Country Christmas booth and each night prior to the rodeo at
the Thomas and Mack over the course of the 10-day event.
“The PRCA is excited to have Durango® Boots as the official boot of the National Finals Rodeo® and as a national sponsor of ProRodeo,”
PRCA CEO Tom Glause said. “Durango® Boots has been crafting authentic western footwear for more than 50 years. Now, the PRCA and Durango®
Boots can start crafting history together with our ProRodeo athletes.”
The athletes who qualify for the NFR are assigned a back number based on the amount of money earned throughout the regular season.
While 119 athletes will compete in the 2022 Wrangler NFR, 120 numbers will be worn. The number 21 will not be given as a tribute to the
21 lives lost in the shooting in Uvalde, Texas in May. The Uvalde community will be a part of a special ceremony honoring those who lost
their lives and their families during the NFR.
The Team Durango® athletes to compete at NFR and their associated back
numbers are:
• Caleb Smidt, Professional Tie-Down Roper - #15
• Riley Webb, Professional Tie-Down Roper - #40
