Durango is excited to announce one of their 2017 brand ambassadors and sole performer, Carter Winter. Fitting every bit the part of the man in black, Carter Winter is country music's modern traditionalist. Delivering a rich vocal performance likened to Josh Turner, Carter is distinguished by his respectful nod to the country artists he grew up on (Garth Brooks, George Strait) while unapologetically paving his own way in the genre from behind his guitar and sleeves of tattoos. The Whiskey In Me highlights anthemic songs like "Stick Em Up" and "Crack Another One" which usher in an immediate party vibe suiting both Carter's vocal ability and persona while "Fight With" and compelling ballad "To Pieces" provide fans with the type of depth and honesty Carter is known for. Carter's recent release, The Whiskey In Me, has broken onto three separate Billboard charts today including #34 on Top Country Albums, #17 on Heatseekers and #7 on Heatseekers East North Central Region. With an impressive climb to #4 on the iTunes country chart, the pronounced success of The Whiskey In Me garners industry-wide attention as the independent release continues to impress among major label releases. The Whiskey In Me is a standout collection of songs either written or co-written by Carter and features heavy-hitting Nashville producers Mark Bright (Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts) and two-time Grammy Award-winning producer Chad Carlson (Taylor Swift, Cole Swindell). The Whiskey In Me is available on iTunes and for streaming on Spotify and Google Play. Fueled by a fan-base enamored with his edgy live show, the artistic maverick gained enough notoriety to play shows alongside some of the biggest names in country music (Sam Hunt, Chase Rice, Travis Tritt) and is on pace to play over 100 shows and festivals this year. Recently touted by Whiskey Riff as one of six new artists to watch, co-founder and editor Steve Gazibara says, "He's the perfect blend of traditional and new school. Without a doubt, one of the best 'country' voices out right now."
Durango is excited to announce one of their 2017 brand ambassadors, Jamie Kent. Named by RollingStone.com as an "Artist You Need To Know", and dubbed a "Must Watch Artist" by The Huffington Post, one might say the future of Jamie Kent looks quite promising. Drawing on influences from modern country rock artists like Jason Isbell and Will Hoge, as well as paying tribute to classic greats like Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, Kent's perfectly mellifluous tunes are roll-the-windows-down, soak-up-some-sun kind of good. Kent has no fear of hard work, playing over 200 shows a year including tours with Huey Lewis & The News, The Doobie Bros, America, Brothers Osborne, Brandy Clark, Marc Broussard, and multiple showcases at the South By Southwest Music Festival. Kent is supported by The Collective, an amazing grassroots group of fans who help advise and fund his career in exchange for access to exclusive music, merchandise, and vote in the major decisions he makes. His brand new album "All American Mutt", just debuted at #16 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. Landing in between Luke Bryan and Dolly Parton, Kent was the only independent artist to break into the Top 20.
Durango is excited to announce one of their 2017 brand ambassadors, Joe Hott. Striding confidentially onto the 2017 Nashville music scene, Joe Hott is poised to become a "must see/must hear" new face and voice for a world of new listeners ready to discover that "all things old become new—and hip again." The 22 year old artist, is in a word: Authentic. A unique blend of retro-bluegrass, traditional; country and gospel music and, original Appalachian mountain music provide the mixture that makes the Virginia born Joseph Hott a rare treasure on today's music scene. His tall (6'4") lanky frame and handsome boyish resemblance to Hank Williams, Sr. was God's gift to Joe Hott. His music is Joe's gift to God. In 2012, Joe formed "Short Mountain Brothers" trio featuring guitar, banjo, bass and mandolin. They have shared the stage with artists such as Rhonda Vincent, connecting with new fans on each concert stage. Aware of today’s music and the maze of radio programmers and charts needed to reach an audience, Joe and his creative team are confident he has the originality and authenticity to reach both old and young with his presentation of the traditional. His album "Home Far Away" leaves little doubt that all things old are new again—and Joe Hott is here to prove it. Joe is releasing his newest CD "The Last Thing on My Mind" and also a video of "The Last Thing on My Mind".

David Adam Byrnes
Durango is excited to announce one of their 2017 brand ambassadors, David Adam Byrnes. If you want honest, true, country music, that’s what you’ll find with David Adam Byrnes. Although this Arkansas native has been in Music City for a decade now, his roots still run deep in his southern upbringing and values. His music and natural stage presence are direct reflections of the hard work that was instilled in him by his parents from a young age. David's musical style is also a reflection of something that was imbedded in his DNA from the ripe age of three when his parents took him to see his first concert, George Strait. That concert lit a fire in the child that has fueled his love for music and performing. He started performing concerts in his living room and refused to wear anything but boots, a belt buckle and wranglers, which soon earned him the nickname "George Strait" from people around town. His first gig was playing with a local group of volunteers called The Telephone Pioneers that performed at local nursing homes; he was 5 when he started and played with them until the day he left Sherwood for Nashville at 19. Not long after his move, David found himself on the road opening for legendary country star, Mark Chesnutt. Chesnutt's album, "Saving The Honky Tonk," served as a saving grace for Byrnes during his high school days when real country music was becoming scarce. Fast-forward a few years and two albums later, Byrnes has garnered a vast number of fans across the country due to his almost two hundred tour dates a year. He's shared the stage with artists such as Tracy Lawrence, Hank Williams Jr., Jake Owen, Thomas Rhett, Brett Eldredge and many others. One of his recent performances was at the 2016 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. He also secured a coveted spot on Nashville based Silverado Records' roster alongside multi-platinum country icon Joe Diffie. A third album is in the works for this country crooner and he plans to continue to tour throughout 2017.
